Man jailed in million-dollar pot bust near Wakefield, Quebec

A 55-year-old Edelweiss man is in custody after MRC des Collines police found 1,400 marijuana plants at his home on Oak Road near Wakefield, Quebec.

The April 29 search of Thang Nam Le’s residence uncovered a greenhouse with over 1,000 plants of various size. The estimated value of the marijuana is over $1 million, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be laid.
