June 29, 2009  -  Theatre Wakefield’s second annual Piggyback Fringe International Theatre Festival hit its stride right from the opening ceremonies June 28 that featured a parade of pink-clad volunteers, members of the Ottawa Stiltwalkers Union and a general squealing good time.

The three-day theatre festival that “piggybacks” on the larger Ottawa version features 13 acts from the USA, Australia, United Kingdom and across Canada. There’s still time today and tomorrow to catch a show, check out the line up at www.theatrewakefield.ca/index.php?id=piggy and don’t miss reviewer Scott Hebert-Daly’s live blog at www.piggyfest09live.blogspot.com/
